Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4 1954. She is a Canadian-American comedian as well as an actress and writer. O'Hara is the proud recipient of many prizes which include an award called the Genie Award. In 2018, she was named as an Officer of Canada. She also received the Governor General’s Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress in 1974 as she was a part of The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. She was part of the main ensemble cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) along with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. In the next year, O'Hara and Candy began work on the sketch comedy program Second City Television (1976-1984) in which she received praise from critics for her work as a comic actor and writer. She was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for the Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the newly formed Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
