Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris was born October 20, 1964. She is an American politician. She is the first woman elected vice president, and is also the highest-ranking female officer in American history. She is a member of the Democratic Party and was previously the attorney general of California between 2011 and 2017. Additionally she was a United States senator representing California between 2017-2021. Born in Oakland, California, Harris graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She began her career in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office prior to being enlisted into the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and then to the City Attorney of San Francisco's office. In 2003, she was the San Francisco district attorney. Harris was elected Attorney General of California in 2010, and was she was re-elected in 2014. Harris served as the junior United States senator from California between 2017 and 2021. Harris beat Loretta Martinez in 2016's Senate election to become the 2nd African American woman and first South Asian American senator to be elected to the United States Senate. Harris was a senator who worked for health care and federal de-scheduling of cannabis. The path to citizenship for undocumented migrants.
